Web accessibility: websites everyone can use, compliant by design

We test how accessible your website's information and data are, against WCAG guidelines, the European Accessibility Act and Italian law (Legge Stanca): an accessible website serves more customers — and for many organisations it's a legal requirement.

What we do

Roughly one person in five lives with a disability or difficulty that makes badly designed websites hard to use: unreadable text, insufficient contrast, forms impossible to fill by keyboard, images with no description for screen reader users. An inaccessible website excludes customers and, increasingly often, breaks the law.

The regulatory picture is clear and expanding: in Italy the Legge Stanca (L. 4/2004) mandates accessibility for public administration and large private operators, and since 2025 the European Accessibility Act has extended obligations to many private digital services, e-commerce first. The technical reference are the international WCAG guidelines, cited by both Italian and European rules.

Our service checks your website with specialised tools and with human review — because real accessibility can't be certified by software alone: someone has to actually try navigating the way a screen-reader or keyboard-only user would. You get a clear report with the issues found, their severity and a remediation plan. And if you want, we do the fixes ourselves.

How we work

STEP 1

Analysis

Technical scan with dedicated tools plus manual review of key pages and journeys (navigation, forms, documents).

STEP 2

Report

Issues listed by severity, explained in plain language, referenced to WCAG criteria and the applicable rules.

STEP 3

Remediation

Fixing the issues, second verification, and final documentation of the work done.

Who it's for

For public bodies and companies working with the public sector, where compliance is an explicit requirement; for e-commerce and digital services covered by the European Accessibility Act; and for any business that has understood the commercial point: an accessible website is clearer, faster to use and better liked by everyone — including Google, which rewards the same good practices.

FAQ

Is my company required to comply?

It depends on size and sector: public bodies and large operators have been for years, and the European Accessibility Act extended obligations to many private services, e-commerce included. In the first meeting we assess your regulatory position — no alarmism, no discounts either.

Isn't an accessibility plugin enough?

No, and we tell you frankly: "accessibility widgets" promising compliance via a single script are considered insufficient by experts and don't replace actually fixing the issues. Better a few real interventions than a cosmetic patch.

How long does an audit take?

For a brochure site, the full analysis with report typically takes 1-2 weeks. Remediation time depends on how many and which issues emerge.

Does accessibility help SEO too?

Yes: semantic structure, alternative text, contrast and clear navigation are exactly what search engines reward. One of the rare cases where regulation and commercial interest coincide.
